STEPS
Below will give you a brief run down of the steps involved in getting Married. When we meet I will go into further detail with you.
As part of my service I offer unlimited meetings and email correspondence to ensure we perfect your ceremony.
-
Meeting up:
Get in touch and we can organise a time to meet up and discuss your wedding.
2. Pre Legal Paperwork:
We will complete the Notice of Intended Marriage form which must be given to a celebrant at least one month (and up to 18 months) before the wedding. You and your partner need to provide evidence of your date and place of birth, identity and the end of any previous marriages.
3. Ceremony Creation
I will take you through suggested ceremony structures and samples, and we will work together to craft your perfect ceremony.
4. Legal Declaration
You must both sign the ‘Declaration of no legal impediment to marriage’. By signing the Declaration, you declare that you believe that you are of marriageable age, and that there is no legal impediment to your marriage. This is done as close to the wedding as possible.
5. Wedding day
On your wedding day, I will solemnise your marriage. You, your partner and your witnesses will sign three marriage certificates. One for you to keep (Form 15), one for my records and one that will be lodged with Births Deaths and Marriages.
6. Lodgement
After your wedding, I will register the marriage with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in the State or Territory where your marriage took place.

All packages follow along these steps. For paperwork package the ceremony creation stage is more basic verse a full wedding ceremony.
